The Personal Side

  • A native English speaker with basic French language skills and currently learning Spanish

  • An avid reader, usually with multiple books on the go (and more than happy to tell you about them, should you ask…)

  • A lover of hiking, traveling, and paddleboarding — sometimes rolled into one fantastic day

  • Lifelong learner and skill level leaper

  • Not a fan of math, but despite this, I’ve completed 4 undergraduate level statistic courses (something about the road to hell being paved with good intentions)

  • An amateur novelist, with a manuscript in the works

About Me

Whether I’m developing a tactical marketing strategy or putting pen to (digital) paper, my focus remains fixed on one thing: solving the problems that matter to a customer or user.

I measure success in finding the strongest strategies to differentiate brands within markets, optimize digital experiences, and bring the most impactful and targeted messages to life. For me, it’s the why of it all. Why does this brand, service, or product stand out from the rest and add unique value? Why does its message offer solutions to pain points for its audiences while moving an industry forward? Why does this story matter?

I’ve always been a sucker for a good story — and I still am. It all started with an elementary school addiction to reading and writing, one that was so deep-seated it carried me through both my undergraduate and post-graduate degrees. And it didn’t stop there, with this fiend-like affinity for morphing words into meaning chasing me through the streets of various US and Canadian cities, before landing me here, a mid-career professional living remotely in Powell River, BC and working with clients all over the world.

And for that, I am eternally grateful.
